Asus shows two new Garmin nuvifone
The M10 is based on Windows Mobile 6.5.3. The A50 uses Google's Android mobile operating system. The navigation mobile phones will come in the first half of 2010 on the market.

Garmin and Asus will present next week at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (Hall 8, booth 8B127) first two nüvifone, which will come in Germany to the market: the Windows Mobile device M10 and the A50 with Android operating system. Both models are expected to be available in the first half.
The nüvifone M10 has a 3.5-inch WVGA touch screen. It offers many functions of the Garmin navigation systems, such as a lane assistant with photo-realistic view crossing, pedestrian navigation, location-based services and points of interest (POIs). The Navifunktionen are also closely linked with applications such as calendar, address book, e-mail, Internet browser and Messenger. A valve and windshield mount with power supply is included.
The operating system is Windows Mobile 6.5.3, whose functionality can be extended by applications from the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. Clients for Facebook or Picasa preinstalled. For data, there are 4 GB of flash memory.
The phone supports both GSM and WLAN (802.11b / g) and HSDPA with download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbit / s. Other features a 5 megapixel camera with geotagging include a virtual QWERTY full keyboard and Microsoft Exchange support to sync with Microsoft Outlook. A 1500 mAh battery powers the Navihandy power.
The nüvifone A50 also has a 3.5-inch touch screen, but with HVGA resolution. The map data is pre-installed as the M10. This is also in locations without wireless coverage with voice navigation (turn by turn, and street names) is possible.
The 4 GB of internal memory can be expanded using micro SD cards. As usual with Android, the user has direct access to all Google services and the Android Market with more than 20,000 applications. Even Microsoft Exchange support, a WebKit-based browser and are on a 3-megapixel autofocus camera and geotagging on board.
The prices of the new Garmin nüvifone-Asus will only be known in Barcelona.
